1st edition of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Health

in conjunction with the 28th European Signal Processing Conference - EUSIPCO
August 24-28, 2020 - Amsterdam

AI4Health 2020

The workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Health aims at bringing together researchers from academia, industry, government and medical centers in order to present the state of the art and discuss the latest advances in the emerging area of the use of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing techniques, be they black boxes or explanation-based, to signals, images, and data in the fields of medicine, healthcare and wellbeing.

AI4Health is expected to cover the whole range of theoretical and practical aspects, technologies and systems related to the application of artificial intelligence and soft computing methodologies to issues as machine learning, deep learning, knowledge discovery, decision support, regression, forecasting, optimization and feature selection in the healthcare and wellbeing domain.

During the initial paper submission process, the authors are required to make sure the pdf file and paper registration have the same list of authors and the same paper title. Failure to comply with this rule might result in your paper being withdrawn from the review process. On the other hand, the author list of an accepted paper can NOT be changed in the final manuscript.

All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of five (5) printed pages (10-point font) including figures. Papers exceeding 5 pages will not be accepted, nor reviewed at all.

When preparing your final manuscript, please pay also attention to the following: LaTeX is the preferred method to prepare you manuscript. Please use the standard LaTeX IEEE conference templates. If you use Microsoft Word, please use the most current version, which will help reduce word-to-pdf conversion issues such as embedded fonts, bookmarks, etc. Also, please use the Word IEEE conference template. Please do not include page numbers or headers/footers. Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process.

Please contact the Workshop Chairs if you have any questions about submitting your manuscripts.

Papers must be submitted in Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF) format.

PDF files:
- must not have Adobe Document Protection or Document Security enabled
- must have either ‘US Letter’ or ‘A4’ sized pages
- must be in first-page-first order
- must have ALL FONTS embedded and subset

ALL FONTS MUST be embedded in the PDF file. There is no guarantee that the viewers of the paper (reviewers and those who view the electronic proceedings after publication) have the same fonts used in the document. Please refer to your PDF file generation utility’s user guide to find out how to embed all fonts.

Beurs van Berlage

The AI4Health 2020 workshop venue is the “Beurs van Berlage”. Located ultra-centrally, between the Central Station and the Dam Square, the Beurs van Berlage is conveniently reached and in walking distance of hotels, restaurants and the many attractions of Amsterdam.

Originally designed and used as a stock exchange in 1896, the Beurs is currently a “public palace”, hosting conferences, cultural and social events. It was the venue for the civil ceremony of the wedding of the King (then crown-prince) of the Netherlands in 2002.
